Our Security Guards course is a two part, 4 day program designed to exceed the
training standards for the SIA’s licensing requirements. Upon completion of the course
all successful candidates will be able to go on to apply for their SIA Security Guarding

Do I have to take an exam to pass the course?

Yes, there a two exams on the course, on days three and four. These exams are both
multiple choice style, and candidates need to pass both exams in order to successfully
complete the course.

Will I get a certificate if I pass?

Yes. Once the exams are independently marked, which takes about two weeks, you will
receive a nationally recognised certificate issued by Skills for Security and the NOCN.

Which course should I choose?

This really depends upon the area of the country that you live and work in. Both of the
following qualifications entitle you to apply for an SIA Security Guarding Licence, which
is valid throughout the UK, not just in the region for which your course was designed.
