Rutherford Training Consultants is a professional security training consultancy that has delivered solutions throughout the UK and overseas for the last decade. Furthermore, RTC has retained relationships with all key awarding bodies, namely: City and Guilds, Edexcel, NOCN, Skills for Security, Maybo, and NCFE.

Key Personnel
Ian Rutherford has worked extensively in the security industry for over 25 years, forming what is now the Rutherford Group in 1992. He has since become a leading figure within the security training industry, establishing a vast network of contacts including award bodies and commercial organisations. Ian has been an active voice in the call for standardised, high quality national training for security operators and operations in the UK.
Nigel Galbraith has worked as Security Consultant and Training Director for the past 6 years. Nigel's career included 23 years in the military, working worldwide for the UKSF. His role is pivotal to the organisation as he oversees all projects that the Rutherford Group undertake throughout the UK. As well as co-writing the Terror Threat Awareness course, Nigel also heads up the training team.
Kenny Dalton's background is as a former Royal Marines warrant officer. His career has included the training of staff for health trusts, rail networks, power stations, military organisations and port security. He has also worked on a consultancy basis, implementing the global maritime International Shipping and Port Facility Security (ISPS), writing course modules and materials accredited by TRANSEC and the Maritime Coastguard Agency.
Brendan Corcoran has been with RTC for 5 years and oversees our security training programes, as well as being an integral part of our specialised qualifications team. Brendan's diverse background includes leisure industries and local government, giving him a broad knowledge base and enthusiasm to bring to the organisation. He also delivered the Door Supervision training programme overseas; in Estonia.
Samantha Tinker has worked as Business Development / Training Manager since 2007. Sam manages meetings with clients and delegates to ensure that the code of conduct and quality policies are being met to the highest standard. Her role also includes the management and co-ordination of all training, overseeing and recruitment of delegates throughout the UK.
